ABOUT THE OLD LAWNMOWER CLUB

Club Members demonstrate the art of push-pull mowing.

The Old Lawnmower Club promotes the collection, preservation and display of lawn mowers made from 1830 onwards. Anyone interested in the history and development of the lawn mower can join.

The Club was formed in 1990 and now has more than 350 Members. Most live in the UK but some are in the rest of Europe, Australasia and North America.

The aim of the Club is to generate interest in old lawn mowers and enable Members to contact each other and share their common interest. It is very informal.

Benefits for Members include:

  • Quarterly "Grassbox" Newsletter
  • Annual Membership Directory
  • Information Sheets
  • Restoration Advice
  • Machinery Identification and Dating Assistance
  • Informal Contact With Collectors and Enthusiasts
  • Exclusive Publications
  • Special Souvenirs & Regalia
  • Selected Transfers and Operating Manuals

Members receive a special information pack when they join the Club.

The Club organises a number of events each year at Museums, Steam Rallies and Garden Festivals throughout the UK.
