Hello, I'm a newbie here.

Hello folks,

I'm a newbie here, but not to mowers!  Grew up with them, Dad worked at various colleges in the horticultural department and trained staff for parks and gardens in East Sussex.

Have a Stoic,- doesn't count but mentioned, Qualcast push mower for small paths and other bits, Suffolk Punch for stripes, Hayter Harrier for general use.  Just bought an Allan Scythe, which thrills me lots, I remember these grass cutters in the 1950's when they were still very popular.  Got to using one to cut grass on odd pieces of land.for Dad.  Now have a couple of acres of grass to cut for hay, come in useful for feeding my dairy goats during winter.  Very grateful to Ivor for his excellent advice when buying the scythe, much appreciated!

Look forward to meeting you all and hearing about your mowers, seeing your photos too!

Have a lovely evening!

Bunty.
