Hello Al & All

Thanks for putting the link on, I will add a bit more that BBC Gloucester omitted to mention.

In addition to the President of Ransomes there were OLMC members present namely Andrew Hall & Mike Duck from H & D Trust, Peter Hampton (former club chairman) plus myself and Lawrie Stevens representing my charity ‘The Budding Foundation’.

The event was organised by Chris Biddle who has just published his book ‘The Budding Legacy’ which he launched at the event. I understand it will be available on Amazon shortly, but I will bring my copy to the AGM at Milton Keynes for others take a look at.

We had a small informal gathering with representatives from various mower dealerships, BAGMA, Stroud Council & the museum. Greg Pilley, founder of the new Stroud Brewery pulled plenty of pints of Budding Beer for us, pleasant easy drinking 4.5% pale ale that was champion beer of Glos in 2006 & 2008.

Lawrie and I allowed Greg to lock up at around 7.30pm & we spent the rest of the evening in the Ale House in Stroud, to our surprise their best selling beer is Darkstars ‘ Hophead’ brewed a couple of miles from where I am based in Sussex. Small world, but Mowers & Beer help it along!

Cheers

Clive
