Help with thread types on Ransomes Ajax Mk3

I need to replace the bolts holding the bottom block, cutter, handles etc. Are they unf such as 5/16 unf?

Welcome to the Old Lawnmower Club, I need to confirm it for you but I am fairly certain that the bolts on your mower will be of BSF Or Whitworth thread forms.

I can now confirm that the blade carrier and handle bar bolts are indeed 5/16 BSF thread size. I have not tried to remove one of the countersunk set screws securing the bottom blade but I would expect them to be either BSF or Whitworth threads.

Do you have the old bolts to measure for length ?

Further to Hillsider's reply, I'm fairly certain that the bottom blade screws are Whitworth (BSW) - As far as I know, until the metric age, all Ransomes bottom blade screws were.
