Just aquired a complete machine, can someone run through the starting procedure as it has a red "knob" on right hand handle is that a kill switch? I know it is an AB1480 as the picture is on the old lawn mower company website, any help would be greatfully appreciated! Many Thanks

I cant find a definitive answer as my Webb book goes from 1478 to 1550 with nothing shown in between. However I have memory of a machine with a sliding throttle control and it's reasonable to assume that past the fully closed/idle position it would trip an ignition kill switch on the throttle plate. Something tells me that the red knob could be screwed to clamp the throttle position for constant speed running - but maybe not!
