Hello all

I tried starting my Landmaster (Gardenmaster) 34 Rotavator today, instructions on machine state 24 to 1 mix if using Castrol Two Stroke oil or 32 to 1 if using SAE 30. I mixed 24.1 with the readily available modern 2 stroke oil.

Started almost first pull, ran for around a minute, tried to restart but unable to do so. Good spark, plug appears to wet up, have cleaned, blown out chamber with airline to dry x/s fuel etc, but no joy after several repeat clean ups..

The machine is late 1950's, could the fuel mix be at fault? Do I need to alter as using modern stuff, or any other suggestions.

Could be that the plain bearings and seals are a bit "iffy" and it doesn't like the "thin" mix. Worth reverting to the SAE 30 before exploring more exotic remedies!
