Collection, Preservation and Display of Old Lawn Mowers

OLC13-KW 55 MP.jpg

Mower pushers like the MP (there were other models) were a good idea for converting a hand or push mower into a motorised machine. Promoted during the 1920s they were barely less expensive than new motor mowers during the same period and this might explain why they never really caught on. This example is one of the few that is regularly brought to rallies. It includes some large "jockey" wheels at the front which allow it to be driven on its own although under normal use it would have been attached to a conventional hand mower such as a Ransomes Patent Chain or Patent Gear Automaton or a Greens Silens Messor.
