16 inch Ransomes Mk IV 1930 Previously owned & restored by fellow member, John Keeping (Cornwall), from a very rusty machine when found There is also a fully restored transport dolly with this mower, which is a rare & special item in it's own right. John must have spent a great deal of time restoring this mower & it is a credit to his patience & skill. I also have another similar mower but as yet un-restored. This machine has the 175cc Blackburne 4stroke engine & still has it's original split helix cutting cylinder. The machine number is TR RAN/P2/A/PN11878 This horseshoe tank model is one of several types made during the 1920s & 30s some of which were 2 stroke. Always good models to have in a Ransomes collection, I have several similar ones, I do not profess to know much about them but have come across a number of them & serviced several during my workshop years, in the 1960s, all still going strong then.
