Roller/seat - brand or generic?

Bought this seat with roller at auction and intend to marry it up to the right machine. If indeed there is a right machine. Any ideas on age, brand, or indeed what machine would go best with it. The roller is 16 inches. I intend to completely renovate it. Thanks in advance for any help.

The only one of these I have seen came in with an old Dennis. It may have been modded to fit though . The split alloy roller suggests Atco though - Groundsman 28 or 34 ?

Not Atco , fairly sure that it’s Dennis as it is identical the the one that I have that came with my Dad’s z c.1947.

With it being a 16" roller, is there a specific size of cut, that this should go with?

My guess is not, because it will rolling the same way as the machine's roller so it won't leave it's own trail. I await being proved wrong, though!
