Double 3

I'm breaking all the rules and my own principles by discussing such a modern mower but does anyone know what the 'double 3' stands for on this Hayter ? Many thanks.

Three speeds with three operating options, cut and collect,  cut and drop , and mulch.

Naughty !

Never heard of it,  was going to suggest it referred to the cutting width - 33cm or in English not quite 14". Then I discovered that there was a 22" version so that theory is out the window.

If my memory serves me correctly it refers to the different distribution of the cut grass, double collect or rear discharge, the 3 or 3rd was the ability to block the shoot and turn it into a Mulcher of sorts. They were relatively popular in their day as they were cheaper than most Hayter being a badged Murray I believe.

Many thanks, I was just curious. It certainly made short work of long grass on a bank.
