Collection, Preservation and Display of Old Lawn Mowers

It’s a mad mad mad mad world

There are people who get hold of old mowers, remove the badge and throw the mower away. Badge collectors number mower badges in their collections. Mower collectors buy a mower. It doesn't have a badge because someone has removed it. The mower collector then has to hunt for a badge from a badge collector / seller. This has undertones of the Beastie Boys and VW car badges. It's totally bonkers !  Over the years I've managed to rescue mower badges as well as mowers ( I'm not sure of the colour schemes dreamed up by the badge enthusiasts)

Theres all sort of collectors out there, I have found many mower badges when visiting other peoples garden sheds, usually screwed to the wall or door. Must admit I used to keep my old car badges when the vehicles moved on or should I say when they were towed away, Prefect, Anglia's, Cortina & many Escorts & the odd hub cap, number plate etc but can't keep all the memories.

I like the mixed 'greens' back drop Sean :) are you trying to attract the Bunnies?

Not trying to attract the bunnies Clive but my tortoise loves having his run out on this area. It's the rough lawn outside one of my workshops.
