You may be forgiven for thinking at first sight that this is just another 'catalogue mower' or for newcomers a mower manufactured by one of the major manufacturers for catalogues or large retail businesses. I certainly thought it was - how wrong was I . I bought it as it was cheap enough and was intrigued by the name Binch. Wallis Binch were manufacturers of manual roller and sidewheel mowers in the 1930s. The company was based at New Basford in Nottingham, and products included the Binch "Model B" sidewheel mower and the "Grasshopper" roller mower. Also referred to as "British Binch". My example is a 10" cut. I have no other information about this mower as to whether other sizes were available or cost or whether throw plates etc were available. I cannot find any more information anywhere. I am really going to stick my neck out and say that the quality of this mower is exceptional and as far as to say I think this is the best quality sidewheel mower I have ( I've got a few to compare) I would really recommend one of these little sidewheels for anyone's collection. Enjoy the photos.
