Will battery mowers make a comeback?

I've seen some terrible quality battery sidewheel mowers made by companies claiming to be revolutionary, but d'you reckon we'll see a comeback of the battery mowers similar to what ATCO and Webb were making in the 60's and 70's? In my opinion they'd make a fine addition to a gardener since many are concerned about the environment these days.

My interest in these sparked because my neighbor has an ATCO Battery Mower what looks like a cross between the 4 stroke ATCO light (the 14" one) and an ATCO Deluxe from the 60s. From what I've seen of it cutting grass their drawbacks seem fairly limited. Then again, I'm sure many of you have had experiences with them in the past, d'you reckon they're worthy of a comeback?

Perhaps for the small garden. Disadvantages are the price on environmentally friendly batteries with high capacity. My experience is that the batteries are cold broken or gets no maintaining chagrining during the winter, what means that some of my neighbors has uncut lawn and I have a Villiers Midget.
