Hi,  I'm not a mower collector in any way, but i do have a liking for most things vintage.

I used to collect vintage engines, but most have gone.

I do have a vintage engine collection, but it's marine orientated.

Anyway I do have a Dennis Z type, I think it's an older one, I have rebuilt the engine, but never got around to running it.

Also have a Ransomes mower, was used as a garden ornament, so it was seized solid, I don't know the model, smallish JAP engine, with hand crank.

Also a sit-on roller that  came with the Dennis, but I think its a Ransomes.

Ok, the thing is, other than the Dennis engine, I don't need any of it, so if someone needs any parts, I would rather see them being used, then scrapped.

I am also new to the forum and the club. My reason for joining is that I am the proud owner of an Allen Mayfield scythe mower which was given to me by my father before he passed away and I am trying find out more about its history. The number of the side of the guard is Z1827 and the plate on teh Villiers 4 stroke engine has the following number 145812 and in the other area / mark is stamped C25 01 07.

Apparently there were a reange of implements available for this machine as well so I would like to chat with anyone with some knowledge on this

Any help would be very much appreciated.
