The mower coerced me into this restoration job. The cutting cylinder was badly welded so I sourced a new one from Garfits along with bottom blade. The rear roller was full of mud balls, which made an annoying rattling noise and the non original paint job was looking rough..
Replaced the cylinder bearings, a few washers and 2 nuts. All the rest is original. Decided to leave many of the nuts and bolts unpainted. Means future maintenance will not cause flaking paint. Instead have covered these fixings in clear dinitrol.
I believe this mower is late 1940's (from what I have read on here re the cone clutch). Unfortunately the date plate and oiler covers on the off side are missing.
excuse the editing!
