Hi everybody, just thought I would introduce myself. I am currently rebuilding a Webb AB173 which I rescued from my mothers shed. It actually has sentimental attachment due to my father having been an engineering apprentice at the Webb factory & I remember him pointing out a simple part that he had to design and draw up etc ready to be produced.

It's nice to hear you're taking on a restoration like this. It warms my heart to hear that. Your father would be proud of you.

It reminds me of a few restorations I've undertaken where machines have come from homes where their owners have departed. I always hope that each restoration in those cases, they're watching over me as I do them, taking great care to keep them alive, always wondering what stories they could tell.
