Atco 1247 restoration
Hello
i had to take apart the rear split roller on my above mower as there were copious amounts of debris that had accumulated in there over the years.
in My haste at taking it apart I noticed two unusually shaped pins/clips drop out as I pulled the two halves apart, does anyone happen to know how they fit back in place?
think of a paper clip but longer and differently shaped, I think they are something to do with the ratchet mechanism inside there.
does anybody have an internal diagram of how they fit back in place as I’m really stuck with this chaps.
thank you
Martin

Managed to get them back in place after a few tricky attempts, I then preceded to put the two halves of the roller together & everything seems to rotate as it should.
Amazing, they carried that
Amazing, they carried that same basic design of free wheel / ratchet right through to the Atco heavy duty machines being made in the 2000s.
Exactly, their general
Exactly, their general consensus would probably have been, if it works so well then, why change it.
a basic design but, one that just serves its intended purpose & that is, that it just works.
