ARCHIKORTOKOPTIMECHANOLOGIST

Hello all

I have recently found out that if you would say that you know alot about mowers then you could call your self an  ARCHIKORTOKOPTIMECHANOLOGIST  and litrally translated from greek that means a person who is an expert in vintage lawn-mowing machines!,

so now instead of saying that we collect mowers we can say that we are archikortokoptimechanologists or that we are interested in archikortokoptimechanology.

I hope you find this interesting.

No insult intended but the first thing that came to mind on reading this was the line spoken by the guy in the tin hat on the Rowan and Martin Laugh In (b and w TV show 1960 something!)

"V-e-r-y interesting but rather stupid"!

Anyway, if it's not a total wind-up in time for the Olympics I guess that as it is unlikely that the Greeks had a word for either lawn or mower it says "thing that cuts short standing grass"
