Seeing one of these and finding it impossible to resist buying it, I now find myself on a search for all the missing parts.....

Getting it running would be good, but the bowl that fits to the bottom of the carb is missing, and the valve springs are exposed at the moment, should there be a plate covering them? The exhaust is also damaged, but that should be less of a problem to make something.

The cutting cylinder and grassbox are also missing.

Any leads on where to find these would be very helpful.

We have a large field that needs mowing.....

On the plus side, the steering head and seat stem have been freed off after seizing during the time it's been laid up.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Make, and if possible model, of engine will increase the chance of  useful information. As will a picture of the beast!

I've seen an engine number plate on it, so I'll try to get the info off it next time I'm there. Getting pictures, and transferring them to the computer may take considerably more time and effort though. That's certainly way beyond my computer abilities, but I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the reply.

It's a Villiers engine. The engine number is: 760E 28751

After some more dismantling today we find that one of the rear rollers is broken, so we need one of those as well.
