Hey chaps I've recently acquired a b14 barn find from my Granma it hasn't been used for 20 years but I wanna restore her and use her again but have a few issues one I'm not 100% it is a b14 but looking at Internet pics it appears to be also she is a non runner are spares still available? She turns over clutch appears to operate and generally in a fair condition but she seems to have lost her spark as it were or the spark plug is deceased any tips avenues to explore ? I wanna get her running before full restoration also is she 2 stroke I'm guessing not but may as well ask

cheers

Get some fresh fuel.Take the spark plug out, put it back on the lead, turn the engine over, with plug touching metal, if you can see a spark great. Put abit of fuel down the plug hole and it should fire. That's the first thing I'd try. No spark and it may be nothing more serious than the points need a clean. Fires then dies, your carb needs a clean. If its been left with any fuel in it will have gummed uo the carb.

Go from there. Make sure it's not seized before you do anything though.

A picture might help identify your machine, I say this because, if it does have a two stroke engine, it isn't a B14.

If it is a two stroke engine and you don't have spark, you will probably need to remove the flywheel, but as I said, a picture will show what you have.
