Folbate F1 help

Enter a word or two to search the forum section and click the Search Forum button.

Hi folks,

New to this club/site/mowers!- posted last night ( I thought!) but don't know where it went!?

Anyway- 1. doing up a Folbate F1 ( no mention of this model on here) and want to know how the wooden roller axle is held at either end. Got a piece of 3/8" bar to make an axle- do I just cut a thread either end and bolt it up? - these nuts will then stop the roller being lowered completely!

2. Don't have a grassbox-anyone got a 'spare'?

Thanks, David

Hello David welcome to the forum, I understand the F1 was a post WW2 Folbate with rubber tyres? As you will see from other posts some images to support your query would be of help & I am sure we will be able to assist you.

Got my new wooden rollers(thanks Mike Floody) and have made up a 3/8 " steel axle with nuts at either end-is this the way they were done? As mentioned previously, these nuts now stop the roller adjuster being lowered fully.  Someone must know, either an F1 or similar Folbate.

Thanks, D
