Good Places to find reliable Engines

Hi again :) Apologies if this is in the wrong area :)

I have a great Suffolk Punch 43L, but I've tried everything but the engine is not happy, so Im going to replace it.

Are there any recommended places that do Second hand engines, or is it a case of hunting out all the old haunts and taking a chance on eBay?

Cheers

Glen

Take your existing engine to

Take your existing engine to a proper repairer or even gifted (recommended ) amateur or you are just as likely to end up with an engine with a different fault or faults.

Im loathed to get rid of the mower, Its a cracking mower, but the oil all over the plug is not good, So Ive sourced a Suffolk Punch 17 on line. Just been serviced. and its a load newer than my one :)

Im gutted that I need to get rid of it, but ive stuck it on ebay for £1, I hope it gets a good home :)

Looks like an A98 on your machine. Not one of my favourite lumps. I would be tempted to put an SIF cast iron block engine on it . Anyway, hope that your new buy is as good as advertised.
