Could someone help me identify my new acquisition. I think it is a 35DL but the only label I can see is the one with the recommended Oil types and it says Model 4A and Engine A.98

Thank you

Chris

Once again an image or two will help. Early A98 aluminium block engines had the Zenith carburettor carried over from the cast iron engines and also retained points ignition. Later ones had electronic ignition ( not to be confused with electric start!)

Thanks for replying but I have uploaded two images but I will check again to see what’s happened to them

Looks like it has a Zenith carb so quite an early A98 engined machine.

Looks  like the blades may need to have the rust cleaned off them and then be brought into set with the bottom fixed blade.
