Paint removal from aluminium grassbox
Thought I'd share my experience in removal of paint from what is rather a fragile aluminium atco kickstart grassbox. Nitromors was slow and unpleasant. Angle grinder and coarse wire brush, which is my preferred method on steel, was considered too aggressive. A conventional hot paint stripper was too tame. Instead, I used my plumbing torch on an area approx 10x10cm until the paint bubbled. Then rapidly used the gentle wire brush on drill to remove the paint very easily. The most important part is to be quick with the wire brush once the heat is removed, the paint soon hardens again. Excuse the picture, was unable to insert it in correct orientation!

That grassbox looks great - I'd almost be tempted to leave it as is, rather than re-paint it - it looks so good!
Nice to see what appears to be an early 1970s Black and Decker 2-speed drill still in use. Mine was demoted to wire brush work when I got my first Bosch hammer drill and eventually given to a charity shop a couple of years ago, still in good working order.
