Hello, Can someone tell me how to remove these gears please? They look as though they should just lift off but neither the large left hand one or the small one on the right will move!! Any help would be appreciated, Cheers, Colin.P.S. Was hoping to post a picture but can`t see how do do that either!!! LOL!!

Nuts are off! Large gear is left hand and the small r/h gear nut is right hand. Simply cannot prise the gears off!!

Not pulled an Ajax apart for years but I seem to remember that the large gear may be on a parallel shaft which it engages with a mills pin through it that locates in a recess in the back of the gear. So with caution try polling the gear straight off .

Hello, Thanks for your replies and advice! Gears are now off! For some reason the thread on the large one had become raised preventing removal! Application of heat solved the small one! Cheers.PS Could anyone tell me how to attach photos please?
