Good Afternoon all,

I have been clearing out a old shed of my fathers and hid behind alot of old stuff was this old Atco mower, but unfortunately it has afew parts missing, the one in the picture isn’t the exact one, but it is the same exactly apart from the one I have has a Villiers engine, rather then the Honda engine, on the engine cover it has Atco on it and it is a 36" or 3F cut.

The question I am after answering is on the end of the drive is a dog clutch with the chain then down to the cylinder, is this still available? Has anyone got one hidden away somewhere? Because this is the key bit that i am missing at the moment,

Also has anyone got any information on these machines? Parts illustrations?

I am lead to believe that it used to be used on the local cricket pitch, and any information on these machines would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks Mark.

Have you actually measured the cutting cylinder as it looks like an early Groundsman 34" ?

Similar dsign was also made as a 28" machine.

This is probably what you need

Think that dog clutch was used virtually unchanged until production of that machine ceased in the early 80s but could be difficult to source  now.
