Shanks Mower Dates

Shanks first manufactured mowers in the 1850s and continued, after various changes at the company, until the 1970s. For much of this period they were one of the biggest and best-known manufacturers.

The variety of machines that they produced make it impossible to provide a simple summary of the dates.

However, our Shanks Specialist should be able to provide an approximate date and some background information.
