JP Monarch Grass Box Transfer - pictures required
All,
Does anyone have a JP Monarch with an original grass box transfer on it? If so could you take a clear picture and measurements so that I can create a water-slide transfer?
I have an original 1957 Manual for the mower, which has a logo on the front of the manual, but I am not sure how reliable it is to duplicate it. No images appear to exist on the internet either. Spread the word - a beer is in it for the person who comes up with the best picture, at the next rally!!
Secondly, the Manual shows on page 3 (fig 2) that a transfer is shown between the rear roller bearing housing and the front RH cuting cylinder bearing housing. Did this transfer ever exist or is it artistic licence?

Hi Clive,
Hi Clive,
If you need a scan of the manual - happy to oblige!

Hi Tony
Here it is, have also sent you a google drive link to more images, fingernails proved useful for chipping away paint, together with plastic plant label & chopstick, anything metal would have damaged the transfer and didn't want to risk any form of paint remover.

Sorry for the delay in posting my contribution - first chance I have had to look in the shed for a while.
Anyway, as you can see from the attached the example on my Monarch box is reasonably complete.
There does not appear to be anything on the mower side frames.

All,
All,
Many thanks to those who sent me pictures. After many hours, I have managed to resurrect a more than passable image of the Monarch logo/transfer from your contributions which can be shared to anyone wishing it. Just reach out to me on email.
regards
Hi Tony
Hi Tony
As mentioned recently we have a Monarch box with transfer, BUT its been painted over, however whilst the paint may have protected transfer it is a bit flaky & we are going to carefully remove to see what can be revealed, who knows there may also be one hidden under paint on the side panel. Some images below, will keep you advised of progress.
I'm sure an image of the transfer can be swapped for a hi-res scan of the manual?
