As some of you may be aware, the Village of Norton Sub Hamden, held their Annual Flower Show on 20th August. Myself, John and Joy took some of our collection to display for the afternoon show.

Ill add a couple of photos but excuse the pictures, my phone has the worst camera (or the worst cameraman) hopefully John, Joy or Nick can add a few more.

a great turn out of the general public and  exhibitors displaying their crafts and retailing the local produce,  enjoyable day out, nice to air a few of my collection and have a few youngster and not so youngsters try out a few machines,

Great display Lee. Some lovely machines for folks to see and try out. What is the very small mower in front of the Webb Lawn Trimmer on your last photo please? Cheers. Rob

I would like to say a big thank you to Nick, not only for organising an excellent village show, but for the warm welcome from him and his wife, excuse me if wrong but think her name was Ann, and Sarah who was working hard throughout the day organising the pitches and displays,  also to Alec Hillyer for sending me the OLC banner in good time, it’ll be on its way back to you shortly Alec,

just a side note from my experience, to anyone holding a small display who’s never done one before, large font literature on each mower is helpful, one thing I noticed is that people love a good read of small signs, doesn’t have to be a huge amount of information, make model year of manufacture, something interesting on the company or history of the mowers, people walked past most of my mowers on display but stopped to read the two laminated signs at the end, quite interesting to watch, also, try and allow as much space between each machine, especially if segregation cannot be made between public and display, had a couple of clumsy feet incidents, still learning, it’s a quandary, barrier off or let it get up close and personal.

As per previous congratulations; an excellent professional display, all the mowers so beautifully presented and arranged!

The general public may not always appreciate all the patience and skill involved in packing Mowers for transport  without scratching them and

the planning involved in attending a show.
