Please can you advise:

On the front roller diameter

How many rollers used.

I note Clive's comprehensive dating posts, so guess no more precise clues, only 20th century as "England" on handlebars.

Not sure what model, as models mentioned i.e. PCA?

Please, if anybody can advise on the outside diameter, when measuring an original Patent Chain Automaton, as this one.

I have checked several here - around 2¼" seems to be typical. On the 12" three rolls generally, two on the 10", though I do have a 12" with two as well.

I think one needs to bear in mind that when these machines were in active general use independent repairers would not necessarily have stuck strictly to the original specification. This may not of course apply so much to Approved Ransomes Dealers. Within reason some slight variation to front roll diameter should not  greatly affect the performance of the machine and can be compensated for by adjustment to the cutting height.
