Webb adjusting strips

On the vintage WASP, Whippet and Witch models, the adjusting strips for the front rollers are sometimes on the inside and sometimes on the outside of the machines. There doesn't seem to be any pattern.

 

Can anyone tell me why ?

Hi Moorcroftman. No idea why some of the 'Adjusting Strips' were on the outside/inside but looking at some old Webb brochures I found out the following which you may be interested in? 1952 and 1961 sales brochures show the Webb Whippet having adjusting strips on the outside and in a 1963 brochure they appear on the inside.
