Ransomes 16" Blackburn engine HELP required
Hello all
I am entering this topic on behalf of Gerald who has recently contacted me, as its not an area I can help with I am sure some of you can, image attached & Geralds comments plus contact details as follows..............
The mower is in poor condition. The base of the cylinder head is No. 3P833. The number on top of the crankcase is OC82958E. The numbers on the fuel tank mountings are S01881 and SO1882. The spares I need are the exhaust, magneto and carburetto cable and belt. I am attaching a photo of the engine . I would also like to know what h.p. it is and the approximate age of the engine.
I go along to vintage steam rallies and enter into the open crank stationery engine class and I'm looking forward to entering this one in a vintage mower class.
If you can provide help & advice please contact Gerald via e.mail marionfacey@hotmail.com Also please update on this forum as the replies may well be of interest to others. Thanks Clive

Very interested in this thread as I need a fuel tank for the same model, I can't open the links in the last post for some reason, I can't find any information on my mower.
The links still work for me.

If you've not already done so it may be worth trying motor cycle mags/forums as Blackburns were used on some bikes and also some Morgan cars.
