PQ (Pennsylvania Quality) Reel Push Mower
Thanks for that Ray, In answer to your question it is neither a roller nor side wheel mower but a simple push roller mower (picture attached).
The handle fixings are different to the examples of the roller mower pictured in the link you provided, but the cast logo PQ is exactly the same, and the old advertisements state that this is the unique Pennsylvania patented handle, but they obviously did not use it for their larger side reel or roller mowers.
The green colour shown on the before and after pictures on the link looks pretty close to what is remaining on mine. However when i look it up on the colour charts i get the colour code K1.44.23! does anyone have any notion of what that is?

The mower that you show in the photo is what we in the UK would know as a sidewheel mower, the handle is certainly different to what I have seen. The paint code used by the OLC in the mower colours listing uses the NCS or Natural Colour System of paint colour identiffication.so hopefully a local paint supplier should be able to help.

Hi,
I've just added a couple of Pennsylvania ads to Mowerhead, my Facebook lawnmower page. They date from 1927 so are are contemporary to this machine and show a variety of models. Unfortunately they don't show the tops of the handles.

Hope this of interest,

Hello and welcome to the Old Lawnmower Club, If you follow the link it should take you to a profile page on the Lloyds Pennsylvania roller push mower. You don't say which you have - roller or side wheel mower but either way it could be of interest to you. Good luck with the restoration, if you can a photo or two would be appreciated I am sure. Ray.
